The Windy Smithy is the workshop
of Jon Snow and Amalia Pes.
Jon studied the art of Blacksmithing at Hereford college. He then travelled as a Journeyman, before setting up a more static workshop in the Blackdown Hills, on the Devon Somerset border.
Now the Windy Smithy creates a selection of individually hand crafted products, ranging from

Ironwork, to our unique
Tow-a-Vardo Travellers’ wagons.
Our outstanding range of Woodburning Stoves are made by ourselves in Devon. A cost effective means of warming your living and working spaces with the use of firewood, a renewable fuel, encouraging the sustainable management and appreciation of woodlands.
