Towavardo Wagons

Have you always wanted to live in a traditional travellers’ wagon, or Vardo, but haven’t got a horse?

Want to cross continents in days not months?

Or simply need a beautiful space in which to work or chill?

Then the Tow-a-Vardo may be just what you are looking for.

Built on a solid caravan chassis, with steam bent Ash hoops, an insulated canvas cover and a warm wood stove, the Towavardo can be pulled behind your car or truck to your next stopping place, as a delightful alternative to a conventional caravan.

The combination of traditional and modern materials and techniques allows for a strong yet lightweight construction. The warm and cosy interior can be supplemented with solar panels, electric lights and a sound system.

Alternatively you may prefer candles and silence in an idyllic camping place or even at the bottom of your garden.

Your Towavardo can then be painted in the traditional style by highly talented and experienced signwriter, Sarah Harvey.

We have made many vardos over the years, but have decided to give it a rest for a while, due to other commitments.

Feel free to make your own and live in it.

Makes sense now that the youth can tow a trailer up to 3 1/2 tons these days. Result!

Lots of useful info re. building your own trailer on  this website, have a look.
